The Summer House at Vincentia
The Summer House is very close to both Greenfields and Blenheim Beaches. The house has a big bushy garden backing onto the National Park, attracting a huge variety of birds. Cool shady areas in the garden provide the perfect place to read your new summer novel. Enjoy the summer evenings around the BBQ listening to the waves. Winter guests can curl up cosy in front of the open fire. The bright sunny days of winter are a particular delight in Jervis Bay - some of the prettiest flowers come out in the cooler months and a whole range of different birds are seen along the coast and in the garden.
The Summer House has three bedrooms which can sleep up to seven quite comfortably - two queen size bedrooms, the third bedroom has one single and bunk beds. The house is fully furnished and has a well-equipped kitchen. There is a TV, DVD and CD player, microwave oven and washing machine. You need to bring your own towels, tea towels, bed sheets and pillowcases. Summer doonas are provided.
Greenfields Beach is the gem of Jervis Bay, good for swimming, boogie boarding or snorkelling, depending on the day. It is a sheltered beach with trees providing shade. There is also a large picnic area with electric BBQ’s and plenty of space for ball games. It doesn't get better than this. Blenheim, Nelsons, Chinamans and Hyams Beaches are all within walking distance and are joined by a well maintained walking track.
There is a great walk from Greenfields Beach to Hyams Beach via the Scribbly Gum Nature Trail and Chinamans Beach. This takes about half an hour. Stop at the popular Hyams Beach Café for a coffee (or more) and return via the rocks from Chinamans to Greenfields. The Scribbly Gum Nature Trail shouldn’t be missed!
We allow small dogs at the Summer House but we do ask that you conscientiously clean up after them in the house and bring their own cushions rather than allowing them on the furniture. You can take your dog for that early morning run off their leads at Nelsons Beach until 8am. After 8am however they must be kept on a lead. Dogs are not allowed on Greenfields or Blenheim Beaches. Be careful to protect your dog against ticks before you arrive. They are quite common everywhere on the South Coast all year round.
